THE AWARDS PORTAL

The Awards Portal was founded by visibility strategist and entrepreneur Jemimah Ashleigh after uncovering a confronting truth: 97% of female-led start-ups were failing. Determined to change that statistic, she launched The Visibility Lab to help women gain the strategy, confidence and visibility needed to succeed.

What Jemimah didn’t anticipate was the role awards would play. Initially writing submissions as a side project, she quickly discovered two things: there were far more awards programs than most people realised, and the majority of business owners had no idea how to approach them. Applications were rushed, copy-pasted or avoided altogether, leaving countless opportunities on the table.

Yet when done well, awards proved to be game-changing. They brought instant credibility, attracted clients and investors, secured media coverage and gave business owners the recognition they deserved.

For Jemimah, it became clear: awards weren’t just accolades – they were strategy.

First we researched how many awards there were. Turns out – a lot.

So for 18 months we worked to put them all in one place.

And then we started writing applications.

And we were really good at it.

WE NOW HAVE THE HIGHEST SUCCESS RATE OF ANY AWARD WRITING PROGRAM IN AUSTRALIA.
